BRSP Hosts a Dinner

Balochistan Rural Support Program (BRSP) hosted a dinner in the honor of visiting World Bank and PPAF missions on Tuesday May 27, 2008. People from different walks of life i.e. Secretaries Government of Balochistan, Line agencies, UN agencies representatives, representatives of Civil Society Organizations, Directors BRSP BoDs, MPAs, UN agencies, INGOs, community activists, and members of civil society organizations participated in the event.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Nadir Gul Barech, Chief Executive BRSP, welcomed all the distinguished guests and lauded individuals and donors for supporting BRSP especially when it was in its critical juncture and facing the threat of being obliterated. He also thanked all the community members of Balochistan for their trust on BRSP’s programs since its inception in 1991. He further said that BRSP is looking forward to reach for the highest level of competence to justify its existence and trust given by the people.

The Guest of honor, Mr. Qazi Azmat Essa expressed his views and experiences about BRSP and said that BRSP is certainly contributing a great deal to alleviate poverty in rural pockets of the province.

In the end, BRSP honored its funding partners with souvenirs including UNICEF, UNHCR, PPAF, WHO and WFP for supporting BRSP’s regular and relief interventions over the last few years.
