Visit of Mr. Shoib Sultan Khan to BRSP

Mr. Shoib Sultan Khan, one of the spearheads of rural development programs in Pakistan and Chairman RSPN visited BRSP on July 7, 2008 along with Ms. Shandana Khan CEO-RSPN. Soon after their arrival, they met with the Chief Minister Balochistan Mr. Nawab Mohammed Aslam Raisani where they presented the Union Council level plan for poverty reduction in Balochistan that was developed and designed by BRSP. The honorable Chief Minister lauded the efforts and contributions of BRSP in Balochistan and appreciated the UC level plan that BRSP has developed to address poverty in the province. He formed a committee comprising Secretary Finance and Planning to look into the plan at length and come up with their recommendations in order to chalk out its feasibility.

After meeting with the CM Balochistan, they arrived at BRSP office to attend its 55th board meeting. Then, BRSP hosted a dinner in the honor of Mr. Shoib Sultan Khan where BRSP board members, funding partners, provincial Ministers and Govt. officials were also present.

The next day, they departed for Killa Saifullah where they attended an activist conference organized by BRSP-Killa Saifullah region. Mr. Shoib Sultan expressed his content over the unfolding that BRSP is making since 2007.
