Signing Ceremony of "EU funded WATSAN Project" August 8, 2011

Quetta: (August 8): Balochistan Rural Support Programme (BRSP) and European Union have signed an agreement for a water and sanitation project in Jafarabad and Zhob. The ceremony was held under the aegis of BRSP at a local hotel here on Monday. The event was attended by the officials of provincial department of PHED, health and education, Local Govt, representatives of UN agencies and local and international organizations, media representatives, civil society and people from different walks of life.....

Local Support Organization (LSO) Gindar (Mastung) wins first prize at the Second Convention of Confederation of COs held in Islamabad December, 11-12, 2009

Second Convention of the Confederation of the RSPs supported Community Organizations (COs) was organized by the Rural Support Program Network (RSPN) in Islamabad on December, 11 & 12, 2009. In the programme 80 LSOs from all over Pakistan participated and shared their presentations based on their contribution for the cause of poverty reduction and rural development in their own vicinities. Federal Minister for Information & Broadcasting Mr. Kamar Zaman Kaira was the Chief guest of the closing ceremony in which awards along with cash prizes were distributed among the first, second & third position LSOs. LSO Gindar form Mastung, Balochistan was declared first and was awarded a shield along with cash prize of Rs. 500,000/. The award was received by Ms. Abdia, President of the LSO...
